LaRaedo Horse Farm Software Video Product Review

Tags: , ,

I generally do not talk directly about LaRaedo Horse Farm Management Software in a blog post but today I decided to go ahead and blast away.

Have you ever been so passionate about and idea and watch it grow and become more? Well that is the way I feel about this product. It started out as an idea stemming from basic observation and a desire to help those that own and care for horses.

I want to share with you a video created by Mandee Widrick owner of Horse Family Magazine. She has done an outstanding job summarizing the value of a software that not only helps the horse business owner but reaches out to their horse boarding customers too.

This is a software that can pay for itself, keep horse farm owners organized and increases their customer satisfaction – all in one simple, easy-to-use, on-line package.

Leveraging Technology in the Horse Business

Tags: , ,

Imagine giving up everything that you owned, selling your car and leasing your home so that you could travel throughout the country to work with local business owners, local governments and education systems to help build a healthier, happier and economically stronger America.

That is exactly what Greg Hartle is doing right now having started out with $10, his laptop and a few miscellaneous items. He has been documenting his journey everyday with his blog postings and video tapes. I have known Greg for a couple years now and he has always been accommodating any time I have had questions about growing and moving forward in my business.

I would like to take this time to share with you a short video he taped on Day Sixteen of his journey. It was so inspirational to me because he sums up in just a few short minutes exactly how important it is for the horse boarding business to use technology as a means to reach out to their clients. He suggests to businesses to find ways to use technology as a tool to create human experiences.

What better way to help clients feel that a horse farm business will go over and above the call to keep communication lines open then to use a software that will do just that.

What new technology methods are you using in your horse business to help improve communication with your clients?

Building a Successful Horse Farm Business

Tags: , ,

Horse Lessons1 Building a Successful Horse Farm Business

In any business there has to be an element of trust with their customers. In today’s world, the Internet provides ample ways to discover information about you and your business.

This is pretty universal across all types of businesses, large and small. What stands between business and success is the people running the business and the way they feel about the things they do. How the people in charge act and feel affects how their employees act and feel and all of that affects the end product.

If a farm owner is not open to change or stuck in doing things the way they always have been, because that’s the way they have always done things, then there is a good chance they are missing out on something that could help make their business better.

Farm owners need to get out of their comfort zones. Routines lock most businesses into certain ways of doing things, and prevents them from taking the time to invest in developing new skills.

Even though the horse farm business is fairly unique in that its main focus is on the sport, it also must keep up with change otherwise it can become too rigid and limit its future success.

People want to work with businesses that are open, upfront, and innovative and technology is a big part of that, i.e. with Facebook, Twitter, social media, etc. Transparency is key because it builds trust.

Another reason for farms to bring technology like LaRaedo to their farm is because people enjoy talking about things that make them feel good. What better compliment and means of attracting more business than to have your current customers telling others about this customer driven service you provide.

I read an interesting blog post today on Horse Sense and Cents by Nanette Levin. She states:

Thriving in today’s, and tomorrow’s equine economy will require thinking out-of-the-box. Develop ideas and practices that have jaw-dropping reactions to how much you care – even if there’s not an immediate return on your customer service investment (it will come).

What kind of ideas are you thinking about incorporating into your horse business that will increase customer satisfaction and awareness?

Increase Revenue in Horse Farm Boarding

Tags: , ,

Equestrian Professional Magazine, Elisabeth McMillan, recently ran a video called “Protecting Your Horse Business From Cash Flow Culprits” regarding profitability and cash flow. She used an example of the cost of boarding horses and the issue that can arise from boarders not paying on time.
Horse Barn 150x150 Increase Revenue in Horse Farm Boarding

That got me to thinking about ways that might help farm owners retain great relationships with their boarders AND ensure that they pay their board on time and increase revenue in THREE easy steps.

Step One -
Offer them a login account to a horse farm software that will keep them informed of EVERYTHING they are currently being billed for so there are no end of the month surprises.

Step Two -
Use the software’s automated invoice system that will send out their invoice at the first of the month, indicating CLEARLY the charge for any late payment fees and when payments are due.

Step Three -
Add a couple dollars more a month to their monthly board for the use of this service that keeps them informed of not only their expenses but of the care and maintenance that YOU deliver every month to keep their horse happy and healthy.

It’s a no brainer and everyone wins. Nuff said – comments are ALWAYS appreciated.
